Reset Computer Accounts

You reset the computer account to fix the errors the account. Windows Server 2003 restores the computer account to default settings when you reset the account.

To reset the computer account:

1. Open Active Directory Users and Computers console. The Active Directory Users and Computers console appears.

2. Click Computers. The list of computers appears.

3. Select the computer to reset.

4. Select Action -> Reset Account. The Confirmation message box appears.

5. Click Yes. The Active Directory message box appears.

6. Click OK. Windows Server 2003 resets the computer account.
