Moving Domain Groups

You can move groups in the domain to secure access to the domain. When you move groups, the groups are granted permissions according to the location. For example, as a system administrator, you are asked to mo Sales group to another object in the domain.

To move the Sales group:

1. Open Active Directory Users and Computers. The Active Directory Users and Computers console appears.

2. Click Users. The list of groups appears.

3. Select Sales.

4. Select Action > Move. The Move dialog box appears.

5. Select the location to move Sales account, for example, Built in.

6. Click OK. Windows Server 2003 moves the Sales group under Built in.
