Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks Volume (RAID)

Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks (RAID) volume stores data in equal stripes across an array of three or more disks. A RAID volume is fault tolerant. It means that the RAID volume can retain data in the case of power failure. It can also retain data if one of the disks in the array fails.
