WORKING WITH DISK STORAGE

Windows installs the hard disk drives using the default configuration. You can configure the disks and volumes and create partitions to allocate the space on the disk. You can create partitions to install the operating system and store data. You can also create a fault tolerance for a disk by creating mirrors and create a Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks (RAID). You can maintain the hard disk drive by deleting unwanted files. You can also improve the performance of the hard disk by using the disk management tools, such as Chkdsk , disk defragmentation and disk quota.
